I'm heated today! I'm working with a father who says he doesn't want to go forward with adoption, but then he is not being a reliable part in planning for his child. He says that he wants to take care of the baby, and then he backs off. The child's mother has said that she just cannot parent right now, and she wants her baby to have a safe, permanent home. She does not think the father can provide this.
He was supposed to come to the office to meet with me today. He didn't. I don't know if adoption is the right thing, but I do know that this baby deserves to have a plan for his future.
